3D design

I draw parts and prepare them for manufacturing.

What I do

  • Part design and CAM in FreeCAD.
  • I accept SolidWorks files from clients: I worked in SolidWorks before moving to FreeCAD, and I have kept a large parts library from it.
  • AI-assisted FARO arm measurements, for structured measurement capture, in my shop or on site.
  • Parametric design in OpenSCAD.

Examples

  • Two-colour labels designed in OpenSCAD, then 3D printed.
  • Brush holders redesigned in 3D to make maintenance easier on the rebuilt brushed motors of Charmilles Robofil wire EDM machines, for a toolmaking shop.
